The Stage

Sburb took place in a place that doesn’t exist outside of itself known as The Medium. The Medium was thought to be ringed by an impenetrable swath of asteroids called The Veil. At the center of it all is Skaia, a mystical, cloudy planet that acted as a “sun” to the smaller planets. Next to Skaia was Prospit, a small golden moon featuring gigantic towers. Floating just outside of The Veil was another moon that mirrored Prospit in purple, known as Derse. Light-temple scholar are unsure of what lay between the Furthest Ring and Derse.
Skaia was the largest body in The Medium. Its surface hosted the final battle between the two carapacian kingdoms. This is also where sprites stayed before they were called upon by their god. Its atmosphere appears blue and thick with clouds from the outside, according to murals painted by the first generation of carapacians on Earth C. These clouds sometimes contained visions of the past, present, or future.

The planets were the scene of the players’ personal quests, and where they found themselves upon entering the medium. The first consorts were native to the planets. Each god had their own planet where they would complete quests with the aid of consorts, and confront their biggest challenge: their denizen. According to ancient, unconfirmed lore, denizens caused strife on their planets that the gods were prophesied to fix.
The twin moons, Derse and Prospit, were the home of the carapacians. The Prospitan and Dersite kingdoms were constantly at odds with each other. This led to the war on Skaia and the death of the first Queens. The gods had alternate forms that lived on either Prospit or Derse and were treated like royalty.

The Veil is the least-documented body in The Medium. It was a large swath of asteroids that may have held advanced scientific equipment. Legend has it that our troll-gods spent a significant amount of time in The Veil, though not much else is known.
Outside of The Veil were the Horroterrors, huge beings of chaos and wisdom. They held unimaginable power, and being creatures of Void, were nearly unknowable. Scientists think that several Horrorterrors inhabit our universe.
